Last year proved to be yet another exciting year for players at Slotland. Lots of winners (both new and old players!) showed up and, along with the introduction of yet another exciting new game (Four Cast) plus more additions to our mobile platform, showed why players still select $lotland as their primary (and for many, only) casino! Even though we could not reach the 2006 record of 10 jackpot winners (maybe we will reach it again in 2008?), we have 8 new jackpot winners, who took away $1,034,706 in jackpot winnings, making an average jackpot win of $129,338! In comparison, the average jackpot win for 2006 was $104,460; so even though we had fewer jackpot winners, they were definitely much richer jackpot winners on average than in past years!

2007 also proved to be the year to establish a new record for the largest jackpot in history when TOPNOTCHED won $179,166 while playing Golden 8 (beating out the old record of $163,114 won by OLYMPIAGOLD in 2006)! Additionally, we had a total of 6 jackpot winners who won more than $100,000 in 2007, and three of those winners each took home more than $150,000! Striking Sevens was the only machine to pay out the jackpot TWICE in 2007 with Golden 8, Booster, Wild Heart, Magic, Teasure Box and Lucky Stars turning out to be the other hot machines of the year. This left six machines which did not break the jackpot: Silver Kiss (last hit in 2004), Santa's Sleigh (never broke the jackpot... yet!), Heavy Metal (last hit in 2005), Space Jack (last hit in 2005), Halloween Magic (never broke the jackpot... yet!), and Four Cast (our latest addition). Are any of these six machines ready to break the jackpot? The only way to find out is to try them all, or focus on your favorites and look for lady luck to be on your side in 2008!

Not everyone is destined to be a jackpot winner, considering that we have thousands of players and less than a dozen jackpot winners appearing each year. Check this out: we ran a quick tally of promotional bonuses which were offered through our newsletters to $lotland players in 2007, and we discovered that over $513,000 in bonuses were paid out to players during promotional periods alone! This means that close to 50% of the total amounts paid out to our jackpot winners were also paid out to our other dedicated players.
